Aubrey Beardsley

Aubrey Vincent Beardsley (1872–1898) was an English illustrator and author known for his distinctive black ink drawings. Influenced by Japanese woodcuts, his work explored themes of the grotesque, the decadent, and the erotic. As a leading figure in the Aesthetic movement, Beardsley made significant contributions to the development of Art Nouveau and poster design before his early death from tuberculosis.
