Barbara Hepworth

Barbara Hepworth was an English sculptor and a leading figure in the development of modern sculpture. Her work is recognized as a key example of Modernism. During the Second World War, she was a prominent member of the artist colony based in St Ives, working alongside figures such as Ben Nicholson and Naum Gabo. Her career spanned from 1903 until 1975.
