Christopher Monkhouse

Christopher Pruyn Monkhouse (1947–2021) was an American architectural historian and scholar of the decorative arts. Over his career, he served as the founding curator of the Heinz Architectural Galleries at the Carnegie Museum of Art. He later held the position of Eloise W. Martin curator and Chair of the Department of European Decorative Arts at the Art Institute of Chicago for ten years until his retirement in 2017.
