David J. Garrow

David J. Garrow is an American historian and author born in 1953. He is known for his biographical and historical works, including the Pulitzer Prize-winning Bearing the Cross: Martin Luther King, Jr., and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. His extensive bibliography also features Liberty and Sexuality, a study of reproductive rights, and the 2017 biography Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama.
