Dean Spade

Dean Spade is an American lawyer, writer, and transgender activist who serves as an associate professor of law at Seattle University School of Law. A graduate of UCLA School of Law, he has organized projects such as the Sylvia Rivera Law Project and held academic positions at CUNY, Harvard, and UCLA. In addition to his legal scholarship and advocacy, Spade has authored numerous books and papers and directed the documentary Pinkwashing Exposed: Seattle Fights Back!.
