Delany

Solomon Delane, also known as Delaney, was an Irish landscape painter who spent a significant portion of his professional career working in Italy. While some historical sources suggest he may have been born in Edinburgh, this discrepancy is often attributed to the political and religious unrest occurring in Ireland during his later years.
