Emile Ajar

Emile Ajar was a pen name used by the Lithuanian-born French novelist, diplomat, and military aviator Romain Gary. A significant figure in 20th-century French literature, he remains the only author to have been awarded the Prix Goncourt twice. His professional background also included work as a film director and screenwriter.
