Erwin Chemerinsky

Erwin Chemerinsky is an American legal scholar and author known for his studies of U.S. constitutional law and federal civil procedure. Since 2017, Chemerinsky has been the 13th dean of the UC Berkeley School of Law, replacing interim dean Melissa Murray. Previously, he was the founding dean of the University of California, Irvine School of Law from 2008 to 2017.
