Glenn Ligon

Glenn Ligon is an American conceptual artist based in New York City. His multidisciplinary practice explores themes of race, language, desire, sexuality, and identity. Drawing from 20th-century literature and cultural figures, he is recognized as one of the originators of the term Post-Blackness. His work spans painting, installation, printmaking, and film.
