Guy Debord
Guy-Ernest Debord (1931–1994) was a French philosopher, Marxist theorist, and filmmaker. A central figure in the Letterist International and a founding member of the Situationist International, he is best known for his 1967 work, The Society of the Spectacle. Throughout his career, Debord contributed to the field as an essayist, screenwriter, and critic of work, while also directing various publications for the Letterist and Situationist movements.
