Hafez

Khajeh Shams-od-Din Mohammad Hafez Shirazi, known as Hafez, was a 14th-century Persian lyric poet and mystic. His collected works are considered a pinnacle of Persian literature and have exerted a profound influence on writing in the region for centuries. Often referred to as Lisan al-Ghayb, his poems remain widely memorized and are frequently cited as proverbs in the homes of Persian speakers today.
