Henry Adams

Henry Brooks Adams was an American historian, journalist, and member of a prominent political family. A Harvard graduate, he served as a secretary to his father during his tenure as ambassador to the United Kingdom. Following the American Civil War, he established himself as a writer and editor, hosting many of the era's leading intellectuals at his homes in Washington and Boston.
