James Thurber

James Grover Thurber was an American cartoonist, journalist, and playwright born in Columbus, Ohio. After attending Ohio State University and working as a code clerk in Paris, he began his career as a reporter for the Columbus Dispatch. In 1927, he joined the staff of The New Yorker, where he established himself as a prolific humorist and contributor.
