Johann Lucas von

Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt was an Austrian baroque architect and military engineer who served as a court architect in Vienna. After studying in Rome, he became a prominent figure in the Habsburg Empire, designing numerous palaces, churches, and estates. His notable works include the Belvedere and Palais Schwarzenberg in Vienna, as well as the Savoy Castle in Ráckeve, which significantly influenced architectural styles across central and southeast Europe.
