John Perry Barlow

John Perry Barlow (1947–2018) was an American poet, essayist, and cattle rancher. Known for his work as a lyricist for the Grateful Dead, he was also a prominent cyberlibertarian activist. He co-founded the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Freedom of the Press Foundation, and served as a fellow at Harvard University's Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society.
