Jonathan Bate

Sir Andrew Jonathan Bate is a British academic, biographer, literary critic, and scholar recognized for his expertise in Shakespeare, Romanticism, and ecocriticism. He currently serves as the Foundation Professor of Environmental Humanities and Regents Professor of English at Arizona State University. Previously, he held the position of Provost at Worcester College, Oxford, where he remains a Senior Research Fellow.
