Mikhail Bakhtin

Mikhail Mikhailovich Bakhtin (1895–1975) was a Russian philosopher, literary critic, and theorist whose work spanned the philosophy of language, ethics, and aesthetics. Active in Soviet intellectual debates during the 1920s, his contributions to literary theory and diverse academic disciplines gained widespread recognition following his rediscovery by scholars in the 1960s.
