Natalie Zemon Davis
Natalie Zemon Davis (1928–2023) was a Canadian-American historian specializing in the early modern period. A former Henry Charles Lea Professor of History at Princeton University, she served as the second female president of the American Historical Association. Her extensive body of work, which includes the widely translated The Return of Martin Guerre and Trickster Travels, explored social history across Europe, North America, and the Caribbean.
