Nick Groom

Nicholas Michael Groom is a Professor of English Literature at the University of Macau. A scholar of English identity, the Gothic, and seasonal customs, he has published extensive research on topics ranging from the history of the Union Jack to the Goth subculture. Groom is a frequent contributor to media and literary festivals, where he is recognized for his expertise on authors such as Thomas Chatterton and J. R. R. Tolkien.
