Sheridan Le Fanu

Joseph Thomas Sheridan Le Fanu was an Irish writer, journalist, and newspaper proprietor known for his significant contributions to Victorian Gothic literature. His body of work includes macabre poetry, novels such as Uncle Silas, and the influential short story collection In a Glass Darkly. Within that collection, the novella Carmilla remains a foundational text in the development of vampire literature.
