Stephen Hauser
Stephen L. Hauser is an American neurologist and neuroimmunologist born in 1949. He serves as the Robert A. Fishman Distinguished Professor of Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco, and directs the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences. His research has focused on the genetic basis and immune mechanisms of multiple sclerosis, leading to the development of B cell therapies. In 2025, he was a co-recipient of the Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences.
