Thomas S. Buechner

Thomas Scharman Buechner was an American artist and museum director active from 1926 to 2010. Following a tenure at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, he served as the founding director of the Corning Museum of Glass and later led the Brooklyn Museum. During his career, he oversaw significant operational and display transformations at these institutions before returning to his role at Corning.
