Utagawa Hiroshige

Utagawa Hiroshige, born Andō Tokutarō, was a prominent Japanese ukiyo-e artist and a member of the Utagawa school. Recognized as the last great master of the ukiyo-e tradition, he was a prolific painter, draftsperson, and xylographer. His work remains a defining element of the Kasei culture, particularly noted for his significant contributions to the development of landscape painting in woodblock prints.
