Wallace Thurman
Wallace Henry Thurman was an American novelist, screenwriter, and editor active during the Harlem Renaissance. He contributed to the period as an essayist, journalist, and publisher of various literary journals. He is best known for his 1929 novel The Blacker the Berry: A Novel of Negro Life, which examines the complexities of colorism and discrimination within the Black community.
