Walter A. Berendsohn

Walter Arthur Berendsohn (1884–1984) was a German literary scholar, philologist, and university teacher. An active member of the Deutsche Liga für Menschenrechte, he fled to Sweden in 1933 following the dissolution of the organization by the Nazi regime. Throughout his career, he worked as a docent and Privatdozent, contributing significantly to the fields of Germanistics and Scandinavian studies.
