Victor LaValle is the author of the six-issue comic book limited series Destroyer, published by Boom! Studios between May and October 2017. Featuring illustrations by Dietrich Smith and colors by Joana Lafuente, the work serves as a modern sequel to Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. The series was collected as a trade paperback in 2018 and received the Bram Stoker Award for Best Graphic Novel that same year.
